i tried to call Dell support and they were trying to make me renew my warranty before helping me. i feel that i shouldn't have to get a warrant to add/remove programs on a pc that i own. is there another way?

  1. If you are using xp, please check if you are the administrator of the pc, you get restricted from altering the settings of the pc if you are just a guest user. Make sure that you use the admin set up and see if you'll be able to access the control panel. If not, try using this short cut key, press the windows key, found between ctrl and alt and the R key at the same time to get the run window, then type in appwiz.cpl it will take you straight to add/remove programs.

  2. The first thing I would need to know would be what type of operating system are you using (im guessing by your question) XP or Vista if so let me know then I should be able to walk you through your "admin" prob again thats a guess cuz theres not enough info in the question for me to answer without guesses :) let me know more and I'll see if I can assist u

    Thx

  3. What exactly is the problem?  Are you just unable to get into the Control Panel or having problems removing programs from the Add/Remove list?

  4. If you want to Remove program that you don't need try to download this http://www.revouninstaller.com/ Will remove program easy  please Ready here Revo Uninstaller helps you to uninstall and remove unwanted programs installed on your computer even if you have problems uninstalling and cannot uninstall them from "Windows Add or Remove Programs" control panel applet.

Revo Uninstaller is a much faster and more powerful alternative to "Windows Add or Remove Programs" applet!

With its advanced and fast algorithm, Revo Uninstaller analyzes an application's data before uninstall and scans after you uninstall an application. After the program's regular uninstaller runs, you can remove additional unnecessary files, folders and registry keys that are usually left over on your computer. Even if you have a broken installation, Revo Uninstaller scans for an application's data on your hard disk drives and in the Windows registry and shows all found files, folders and registry keys so you can delete them.

With its unique "Hunter mode", Revo Uninstaller offers you some simple, easy to use, but effective and powerful approaches to manage (uninstall, stop, delete, disable from auto starting) and to get information about your installed and/or running programs.
