My convicts had babies but my ammonia levels are high what do I do?

I have two convicts that just had there very first fry and I have noticed my ammonia levels are higher than usual, is it safe to treat the tank with the little babies in there?

it should be safe or you could just replace most of the water with fresh water.

Duh....change out part of the water. I'd add a double dose of chlorine remover/stress meds, tho.

Do a 40% water change wait a day then do another to get the ammonia levels down.
