My cooker made a loud bang, very scary, it's a gas/elec cooker.

Question

a fuse didn't blow and the electricity board said our elec supply was OK. Yet when I turned on the socket the cooker made a lound bang and there was a blue flash. Also last week the dishwasher did exactly the same thing. A fuse was not blown. Will an electrician diagnose the problem or would he have to witness this phenomena because I bet it won't happen when he's actually there.

talk it over with an electrician.you definitely have a problem,,and its not going to go away by itself. Dont take no for an answer,,,get the right answer.
