I was hoping I could just connect an extension so that I didn't have to replace the whole wire. Is there any piece thatwould allow this? it currently leaks so I had to turn it off. can't live without ice

  1. If your wire is leaking water, you have bigger problems then not having ice!

If you crimped the copper tubing that supplies water to the icemaker, then you will need to cut off the copper tubing before the crimped part and attach a new section to hook back to the icemaker. You can also cut out the crimped section and couple the copper tubing back together, if you have enough length in the tubing to do this.

  2. Turn off I/M or you will burn up the water valve behind the box without water the I/M will cycle every 5 minutes!

  3. You are referring to copper tubing and yes you can get an in line connector (compression fitting). Cut out the kink, you will need a tubing cutter or hacksaw, then put the compression fitting end to end.

You can get these fittings at home depot, lowes, ace or any hardware store.
