My cordless phone is not charging- everything is plugged in & answering machine is fine. What else can I do?

Use an eraser to clean the connectors on the phone and check your batteries.

Check any thing dust clean it very will.

Unplug the phone line from your phone.

Unplug also from the electrical outlet.

Open your Phone Un Plug the battery for 3 hours.

After 3 hours Put the battery back, Plug the Charger then put your phone to the charger check after 5 hours see if it's charging. then plug back your phone line to your Phone.

If it doesn't work. You need new battery . Then if has on new battery doesn't work you needed new Phone.

Maybe cause your phone you didn't know it burn out the battery or wires is "lightning shock" / microwave could damage a phone also.

Just gave a shot.

the battier  in the phone could be dead you may need a new one

Good answers already given so just some info. If there are lights on the phone you have power. If the sound of recording is clear and strong power ok. The batteries are usually only good for 8 months to a year and half.

Try to remove the handset battery then re insert it. Check if the charge light is on when you place the handset on cradle. If no light, check any dirt on the charge contacts.
