Question:

My corn snake has a bluish thing(looks like a bruse) on the bottom of it towards the middle end of its body???

any help of what it could be?

  1. If your snake has eaten recently and has not had a bowel movement then it is probably the mouse that it is digesting.  A lot of our snakes you can see the mouse go down, and even see it days later.  Dont think I'd be too concerned unless it doesnt move or doesnt go away after awhile.

    Without seeing, it could be a piece of unshed skin.  If it looks like it is inside and it's a light colored snake, it could be an internal organ.  If you're worried, a trip to an experienced herp vet should be considered.
