i put an x on the eggs and carefully set them on the damp moss then covered them with another layer of damp moss this is my first time having fertile eggs and really don't know what to do next. should i go and buy an incubator or will the eggs be ok in the shoe box. i have read about getting a plastic box, i am using a cardboard box. i have left the box in the tank. i have a heat mat in the bottom of the tank to regulate the temperature and have placed the box on this. Please advise if i am doing the right thing

Why go to all this trouble....surely in nature the mother takes care of her own eggs, where she lays them etc??? I have had Corn Snakes for approx 2years now....about 3 weeks ago i cleaned out cage, new substrate/clean water etc. The next day i noticed that water from the bowl had been splashed out all over the one end of cage...I now know why - I have Corn Snakes eggs and the mother instinctively knew what was required!!!
