  1. Wash it

  2. It is most likely the anal glands. If they are afraid or excited they will empty the contents of the anal glands. It is messy and smelly, but not harmful. Just clean the cage and give the snake a bowl of water to submerge in. This should get rid of the mess and smell. Also, make sure not to scare your corn snake or get him excited in any way. This is what causes the anal glands to empty. Make sure everything you do around the snake is slow and calm. Never move fast or grab at him. Keep things low key.

  3. You should clean the cage along with a gentle scrub (Go with the scales not against them). Try not to scare him. It's sometime the reason why snakes smell sometimes. It's sort of a reflex.

  4. ...i think it's because it lives with you.......................

  5. corn snakes aren't constictors or venomous so they developed another way of self defence...you guessed it they secrete a very foul smelling substance but they will only do this if threatened but if you wash the tank it should smell fine again. when you  are handling the snake move slow and no loud noises and it shouldn't make the stink again

  6. you should wash it, or clean out it's den.

  7. Living healthy Corn snakes don't smell. It's cage could smell if it has fresh moist f***s in it (clean it out). If the snake is smelly it is rotting (dead) or it has a major infection (take it to a vet). The cage could also smell if your snake regurgitated and you didn't remove the mouse. EDIT Corn snakes don't musk and they ARE constrictors.

  8. your snake probably musked...they do that sometimes...the smell will probably go away in a while but if the snake didnt musk and is just smelly for whatever reason then throw away the old subsrtate.  spray and wipe the walls down with healthy habitat.  of course new fresh substrate.  wash the snake for a few minutes in lukewarm water 80 F deep enough for the snake to be submerged...of course watch the snake constantally while it's in the water.
