Question:

My cousin competed in the special olympics?

He depressed about it now(it's been 7 years) and says he didn't deserve to be in it and other kids would of received the gold medal, silver medal and 3 bronze medals he received. Should he feel bad about it? I just think he's ashamed of it, because he thinks he's above it. Any advice for him.

  1. A couple of years ago most if not all Special Olympic guidelines for participants was redefined.  One, you can honestly tell him that the participants largely do not remember that day.  (Sorry, but true!)  Secondly, he competed fair and square according to the guidelines.  If he didn't cheat in anyway, then he was the winner and rightfully so!
