My cousin husband went thru my stuff

Question

over the father day weekend this year. my Cousin and her husband came from washingtion dc to spend father day with my family.her husband is an online hacker. he seen my computer on in my room. he took it upon himself to come in my room and go thru my file. and yes he found some nude picture of me. well a week later they came back and told my mother i had nude picture on my laptop. now. i have not confront them yet. they have been over my house like 3 times already and i still didnt say anything to them. but it has been really buggin me. i feel disrespected they are coming back at the end of the week and i feel like i need to speak to them in private. my parent act like nothing happen. and my mother told me just to forget about it. but my feeling have been hurt. . what i find is so funny is that my cousin husband bought his laptop fromh ome so the big question was what he was doing on mine? and why would he be looking in my picture files. I'm 19 gonna be 20 in Oct. need some advice please. on what to do and how to do it. im not the shouting type. but i what to know should i leave it alone since i happen months ago. or should i say something.

My opinion:

That's creepy. It's not like he just HAD to use your computer & stumbled upon them. If I was in your cousins place I would be like,"Wtf why were you trying to find stuff like that anyways" to him. It's weird that he was in your room by himself to use a computer when he already had one? What else could he have gone through?

You just need to tell him, "I really wasnt happy that you were going through my personal stuff on my computer. My parents wouldn't even do that since I'm soon to be 20 & neither should you." Then tell him how it made you feel & such. Once he apologizes or whatever, just tell him to drop it, but you really don't want it to ever happen again.

More advice- Keep your room locked while your cousin & husband are there :)

sounds like a sleazoid to me.  kinda late to say anything to him now, but from now on keep your computer put away so NO one can get into it.  he was certainly out of line!!

I think that if you have not already forgive him, but confront your cousin and the husband. You need to address the issue that he went into your privacy and you feel disrespected. During this confrontation always remain calm and understanding.

Just tell them you don't appreciate him going thru your files - in front of the whole family. Make sure that your computer is locked in your car trunk when they come to visit.

You should absolutely be offended. Your over the age of 18 so he has no right. He's not your parent and he doesn't live with you. You should absolutely confront him and your parents. Theres no question about this. You should tell your parents as well. You should be honest and say that they may not agree with your decision to take nude pictures of yourself, but that they should respect you enough to not break into your room and then go through your personal things. And I would be sure to remind them that a cousin's husband is not a parent and its creepy that he broke into a 19yr old girls room with no one else.

Just make sure you do this as calmly as possible. Let them be irrational and act immature if you handle yourself in a mature and adult fashion it'll better your argument of how immature his actions were.

Check to make sure all your underwear is still there. Thats kind of a joke but you should still check because that is still a little strange.

Obviously they don't think it's a problem cos' they told your mom about those pictures they found. I suggest you to put a lock on your bedroom door and have it locked all the time when you're away. If by chance for you to be able to confront them, tell them it's a criminal of breaking in your room and invade your privacy. Tell them you feel very very upset about them and you'll call the police if they ever step into your room again.
