My cousin is 3 and not potty trained?(soon about to be 4)?

OK.He is a good kid in all but he is 3 yrs. old come on people .His parents have tried everything such as, putting underwear on him (he pooped in them and the neighbors were over and he told them ''i pooped my underwear.then they put im on the potty for two hours as soon as they put the diaper on he peed?what should they do they also lett him run around naked he peed on the couch.

It's a control thing and right now he is winning. His parents will have to stand firm and get ready to clean some messes (with  his help of course). Most boys could care less about potty training.

Well they should stop putting diapers on him. He'll hopefully get used to it. And start learning how to use the toilet..they should force him to use it. Besides my little brother is 5 and poopes in his underwear (sometimes) but he knows how to use the toilet very well. He uses it all the time by himself. So good luck..:)

Every kid learns different but he needs to be put in underwear at all times..you can;t keep putting him in underwears and then back into diapers because he'll never learn....but i also suggest you out a potty chair in the room he visits the most(livingroom)&& make him sit on it when hewatches t.v for like 10 minutes..you have to work with hima nd not get upset with him. Alot of the time they tend to do it to get attention even if its negitive attention so just sit and pratice with him..help him out &7 h**l get it in no time....

Any child that can tell someone he pooped his underwear is old enough to use the potty properly.  His parents should get him an age appropriate picture story book about using the toliet and read it to him every night as his "bedtime" story.  They should put up a "I'm a big boy sucess sticker chart" in the bathroom for every time he uses the toliet .  Last, they should take off the diapers and make him responsible for changing his clothes and cleaning up himself whenever he doesn't use the toliet, but messes his pants.

I think you shouldn't force the child to use the potty. My daughter is 2 now and she is already potty trained because she was eager to do everything on her own.



And I do think he likes the attention. You have to ignore him when he does things like that. When you just wipe off the pee or clean off the p**p from the couch and not scold him, he will see you guys aren't interested and will eventually stop doing it. If there's one thing I've learned is that kids love to see expressions on people's faces, so they will do all they can to see that amusing expression you do when he pees on the couch.

Put your cousin on the potty or put it close to him at least every 30 minutes or after he drinks a liquid. The parents or you should be very patient. I had already given up and she was 19 months when she peed in her potty for the first time. It's all about being patient. Good luck!

Mom or Dad (whoever has the personal time) should take a week off of work and focus for 7 straight days on nothing but potty training the kid.  When he gets up in the morning, make him sit on the potty until he pees.  Then he puts on a pair of underwear and every 30 minutes he goes back in the bathroom to give it another shot.  If he pees or poops in the underwear, then he has to help throw the p**p in the toilet and rinse the underwear out in the sink and then put them in the washing machine.  At night put a pull up on him (just focus on getting him to use the toilet during the day for right now).  There are no trips to the store, no fun afternoons in the park....just one whole week of figuring out the potty.  If he thinks it's funny to run around the house naked and pee on things, then I would buy a big sheet of plastic and make him sit on it.  If he wants to act like an animal....well, then treat him like one.  After a few days of this, he should get the message that pee and p**p goes in the toilet.
