He doesn't like being picked up, but today picked him up 2 times. When I was carrying him my aunt saw that he had these green rice little things coming out of his r****m. I'm 13, yes, but we knew right away that he has worms. We don't know what kind of worms yet. They're small, greenish, rice lookin thinks. I'm gonna be a vet so right after we saw them I jumped on the computer and looked for tapeworms to see if it was that. But, it didnt look like the rice thingy worms. They cant take him to the vet cuz of reasons I don't know. They're going to buy him meds from a store, and im worried sick.

  1. Its tapeworms. I have never heard of green tapeworms though. Well, green tapeworms or not, you should have your cousin take their cat to the vet.

  2. Tapeworm segments look like rice, so that is probably the worms you are seeing. However, I have never seen greenish looking ones. There are OTC meds that you can buy at pet stores, but it isn't recommended. The meds for tapeworms is pyrantel pamoate/praziquantel.  It's likely the cat has other worms also. If your cousin can't afford to take the cat to the vet, tell them to call around and see how much it would be to bring in a fecal sample to have it tested. That way the cat will get the proper medication needed to treat it.
