So basically, I followed the proper recipe to make cream puffs...

i followed this recipe: http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1637,152178-255202,00.html

but when I was mixing the flour+salt+butter+water... my mixture didn't turn into a ball like it was supposed to! it was still all watery and nasty.. i kept mixing and mixing and mixing anddd it just turned lumpy and watery.!!! and so i beat in the egss one at a time... and it was still so watery... and i didn't want to waste anything :/ so i put them in a cupcake pan to bake... cause i couldn't put it in a regular pan cause it was so wateyr.

where did i go wrong??!?!

  1. You didn't use enough flour.  When you pre sift, you actually don't use as much as called for.  Next time, just dip your measuring cup into the flour and take a knife or something flat and go over the cup, or if it doesn't form into a ball, add a spoonful of flour at a time until it does..

This is a normal and good recipe for cream puffs.  How did they ultimately turn out?  Sorry, it didn't work well for you.
