And on my transaction record, it implicates that they've bought a plane ticket.

Is there a way I can learn who they are and all their flight info from the credit card company or via some other means?

So I can notify the police

  1. You may not be able to do this. Let your card company's fraud department deal with it. Just report the card lost/stolen right away so they'll send you a new one.

  2. Yes, call your bank and ask them what name is on the ticket.  You should file a police report and tell the bank the report number.  Normally the banks will ask if you want to prosecute and they will send you a claim form, also you can ask for a copy of the ticket or receipt.

  3. turn it over to your credit card company and let them handle it and ask  them how to proceed. If the fair has not been used then yes it is possible for the police to track it. Close the account now

  4. Just contact the bank or credit card company. They'll take care of pressing any charges against the thief.

  5. If the charge occurred in the last 60 days, you should be able to dispute it with the credit card company.  If it occurred prior to that, then you may be out the money, but file a dispute anyway.

Let the company determine how they want to deal with the problem.  If they return your money, it is no longer your problem.

    Good luck!

  6. As suggested, close the account and let the fraud dept handle it . They'll get him. You can also put the account of fraud alert for 90 days. Call Tans Union Fraud Dept toll free @ 1-800-680-7289. They will notify the other 2 bureaus.
