Question:

My cruise control doesn't work.?

I have a 1990 honda civic ex with a...um wiggly speedometer. It also has a cruise control that doesn't work, and hasn't worked since I bought the car two months ago. The master switch works, because the light on the switch goes on, but when I put the set button to set the speed, the dash light never illuminates. I don't know what it could be so any possible causes and their solutions would be helpful. I was wondering if maybe since the speedometer cable has possible gone bad or is too tight or loose, could that be what is causing the cruise to not set? Another thought I had was that maybe it was disabled because it wasn't working properly and the previous owner didn't want to spend the extra money to fix it.

  1. More than likely it cost to much to fix. Relays can go bad as the amplifier for cursie. Some cars like 80s Mercedes you can open amp and sodler conections.
