My cucumber plant dying suddenly?

The plant was doing great, although in the last few weeks it hasn't been producing that many cucumbers. Then suddenly all the leaves wilted and turned brown. Within a few days, the plant is nearly completely wilted away.

Do you think it is a disease, or insects? Anything that I can do to save it?

I have marigolds near them that have also suddenly wilted and don't look so good.

I think your cucumber plant is finished.  

Mine did the same thing this year - we had about 20 plants, pulled them up before they were through and left the one - it's on it's last leg - totally normal :) IMHO
