Question:

My cursor is stuck ! help ?!?

i have a laptop, so don't tell me to take the roller ball thing out and pop it back in.

just today my cursor got frozen, and i've restarted and and shut off and pretty much tried everything but the cursor won't move. so basically i can't click to go to the internet, of course i can use the computer tricks to get by some things. but the point is i need it fixed?

any idea how to go about fixing it?!

  1. There is usually a setting in the BIOS that enables or disables the touchpad (assuming that you were using a touchpad instead of a USB mouse).

    Also, there is a hotkey that you press while in Windows (e.g FN + F7 for Acer laptops) that enables or disables the touchpad.


  2. If you can remove the back

    See if you can clean it                      

    On the bottom there is one s***w, unscrew and open mouse

    Inside you will see two small plastic black rods with small gears at the ends.

    Thoroughly clean these rods, a small speck of dirt will mess up your mouse.

    Put it back together and try


  3. maybe it needs to be cleaned, im not sure call a best buy store and ask

  4. Check to see if the drivers for the touch pad are not installed or corrupted. Right click on My Computer - go to properties - click the hardware tab - click device manager. Look to see if there are yellow ! or ? next to your pointing device. If there is any yellow marks - reinstall the drivers with the driver CD that should have come with your laptop.
