My cuz has a chicken and a duck.........?

Question

My cousin keeps a chicken and duck in his living room in a cage, he says they are happy, he has had them for about 3 years now,,, I still think that they would be happier at a bird refruge to be with their own kind,,, what do you think????

or is it to late to change thier surroundings?/

Where does he live? if he doesn't live on a large piece of land or in a rural area, he shouldn't have these animals at all. You have to be zoned in your town to own livestock. Ducks and chickens need to be able to be let outside. if he can't do that, they shouldn't be kept and, no, it's not too late to change surroundings.

Chickens and ducks are outdoor animals.They would be much happier if they were running around chasing bugs and doing what they are suppose to do.Unless they have special need to be inside.Does he have a place that he could build a pen or something to put them in?They would be much happier.And his living room would smell much nicer too.
