  1. This sounds like it could be a luxating patella(slipping knee-cap). Some small breed dog don't have a deep enough troft letting there knee-cap slip in and out. It can cause pain. Surgery is the only way to fix this, if you let in go on, it can cause artheritis as he/she ages. Your dog is far too young to have joint problems or artheritis..it it so uncommon at her age and for her breed. You can talk to your vet and get more advice about it. Good Luck.

  2. Take him to the vet.

  3. does he lay on the same side every time? How long does he limp after he is up and moving around? How long has this been going on?  I have a Yorkie Poo And she was doing this it turned out to be a broken toenail. check his toe nails and the pads of his feet in case he has something stuck in there.

  4. so he limps just for a coup[le of minutesstrange well wen i get up after iv been sitting or lyin down for a long time i limp   because of my blood sirculation  on 1 of my legs maybeits the same for him ??dunno my opinion

  5. I'd call your vet and ask.

  6. Talk to your vet about it.

It could be different things that cause it. Is it the front legs or the back legs he limps on?

You have to watch dachshunds close,

We have a dachshund and we couldn't figure out why she had arthritis type symptoms,to find out that she can only wear a certain kind of harness of which she would be comfortable in.

  7. Maybe u should get joint pills from like walmart and stuff like that. Good luck~
