i got a ticket for making an illegal u turn.

i'm 20, and i'm just curious whether or not it will affect his driving record or insurance policy if the ticket is under my name, even though he's the registered owner of the car.

and i don't have a car at the moment so i cancelled my insurance policy. as long as his car is insured, i'm still okay?
