My dad beat the c**p out of me; what should i do?

half an hour ago me and my sister were having a argument and then randomly my dad came up to me and i thought he was going to hit me so i ran away but the door was locked ( he used to hit me with belts and hangers so i was scared ) then he came up to me and punched me in the arm soooooooooooo badly and was hitting me and now my arm is swollenn, red and going to be bruised, he wasn't stopping even though i said pleasee stop and to make it stop i started crying because i seriously am in pain, i don't think you know how much it hurts, my dad is a huge fat man :( my mom was just watching and not doing anything. then after i was crying he was saying to me "if i could i would beat the **** out of you, trust me one day i will, that was nothing, you don't know what i could do" and saying stuff like that, now i'm scared.. what should i do??? i can hardly move my left arm :|:|:|

You need to go to the hopistal, and the police because that is child abuse, you can't stay in a house where your dad might try something even worse than that. CALL the POLICE, and Child Services,

Please don't think that by calling the police, you'd be placed in foster care.

There's something seriously unstable about your father if he's open to beating you up (belts and hangers, please don't put up with that).

Once you said stop, he should have listened, but insisted on continuing.

I agree with the person who suggested you go to a neighbours, preferably someone who isn't really close to your family.

Once the police arrive, they will be able to vouch for you and almost act as if they were a witness, since they say the aftermath.

Your father should then be taken away for the local police station.

He will be interviewed, and will most likely spend a few nights in jail.

During that time, he'll be able to reflect on his poor decisions and abuse.

Children's aid will then step in.

Your father will be asked to join an anger management group, if his outburst was provoked by alcohol intake, he will be asked to join AA.

A social worker will visit your family for the next few months afterward to ensure that there are changes being made.

Even when they are no longer required, you will be given their card so you can call if a harmful situation occurs again.

But the only way to protect yourself is to take action.

Don't think of it as 'revenge' or anything, think of it as help and assistance for your father to make him a better person.

Calling the police now and tell your situation will help you and your family in the future. So please, do it.

I WOULD GO TO A NEIGHBORS HOUSE OR A STORE AND EXPLAIN TO THEM WHATS GOING ON AND SHOW THEM YOUR ARM AND CALL THE COPS FROM THERE BECUZ IF YOU CALL FROM YOUR OWN HOUSE YOUR PARENTS MIGHT PICK UP THE PHONE AND FIND OUT WHO YOUR CALLING AND THEN YOUR DAD WILL COME AND BEAT YOU MORE. I SUGGEST WHEN YOUR MOM AND SISTER ARE AWAY AND OUT OF THE HOUSE OR IF THERE JUST SLEEPING AND YOUR DAD IS IN THE SHOWER OR RUN FOR IT. MAKE SURE YOU DONT DO IT AT NIGHT BECUZ ITS DANGEROUS AT NIGHT TIME AND THE NEIGHBORS MIGHT BE SLEEPING

Call the cops. There is nothing wrong with parental discipline, but that is evil. It has nothing to do with you. Call them and let them help.

You need to call the police and report him beacuse who knows, next time you could end up really, really hurt. Your dad does not have a right beating you up like that and as for your mum just standing there and saying nothing, that really is heartless. You also need to take yourself off to the hospital just to get checked out and make sure that nothing is broken, they could even report your dad for you.
