Nope--just study more or get a tutor or both.  Some schools have free or low-cost tutoring.  If you school  doesn't have a tutoring program, talk to your English teacher.  He or she should be able to suggest a tutor, but be prepared to pay around $15 an hour.  As an older parent, I was appalled at the lack of grammar instruction that my son received in school.  Fortunately, since I had a mother who corrected my grammar from the time I could talk and some good English teachers, I have always been relatively good in English and was able to pass my knowledge on to my son.  However, from your question, it appears that neither your parents or your teachers managed to give you a good English foundation.  As an aside, your father should be (and probably is) ashamed of himself for calling you a loser.  Failing one test does not make anyone a loser.
