My dad got a bill from dish network that is not ours...?

Question

It's in his name, we live in california, and it has an address from chicago Illinois.

My dad called them and they wouldn't give him any information on the account.

He has a really weird name too its "Olegario" so yeah i doubt it's a coinsidence with out weird last name too...

i filed a complaint for him at the ftc so i duno if tha'ts enuff.

is there anything else we can do?

put it back in envelope, tape up the back, write across the front "no such name" and put it back in the mail.

I would mark not at this address & send it back. I would also check your credit bureau to be sure no one is using your name on any accounts you don't have. Just to be sure. If the company continues to go after you for it you could contact the better business bureau to file a complaint.

You may want to check your Dad's credit file and make sure that no one has stolen his identity.  Does he use credit cards?  If so, check the statements for any false activity.  You might also want to contact your State's Attorney General's office and file a complaint.  Good luck!

you can try mailing it back but im a dish customer (love DVR) and there is a 1 800 number that you can talk to a customer care adviser and they are very understanding and they can mail another copy out to the real customer if necesary
