You have to pull on OPPOSITE DIAGONAL corners....it slides open

Use a sledge hammer to snap the box in 1/2.

I have Just returned from a fantastic intrepid tour of Cuba and have bought this magic box back to new zealand for my kids and friends.we are having a neat time with every one trying to open it.It is very sad that you people are answering this question and even sadder that someone asks it.Enjoy the fun you are having with it and dont spoil it for every one else around the world .Does all the mysteries of life have to be spoiled by people that cant work it out for them selves.Isn't it called a Magic Box for a specific reason.Just enjoy the fun and dont spoil it for everyone else. Thats Life Isnt It

Hold the box in the palm of your left hand. Place your fore finger of your right hand on the edge at the far right corner at the bottom of the box. Place your right thumb on the upper corner nearest you, then pull. If it doesn't open, try the same thing with the other end of the box. Don't spend the money foolishly.
