in a holding cell for the night the next time I disrespect him or miss my curfew?

I live in Boston. Is he legally allowed to do this? Or is he just trying to scare me cause I really hated it when I went to visit the precinct?

  1. He'd have to have a legally legit reason to arrest you and have you locked up.  And being a cop, he's smart enough to know that'd be a black spot on your legal record.  He apparently cares enough about you that he's set a curfew and expects you to be respectful toward your elders.

I agree with Kenneth C's answer.

Get over the attitude and quit dissing your old man.

  2. Sucks to be you?

  3. I would look up the legal procedure called "emancipation" and get yourself separated from this creep the next time he says anything ridiculous like that.  Yet another power hungry cop abusing their authority.

  4. ....that would mean hes a cop before hes a dad...man that would really p**s me off id probably disown my dad if he did somethin like that to me

    lets hope hes joking

  5. He can't lock you up in a publically funded jail unless you have been convicted of a crime and setenced to jail time, but that doesn't mean that you should disobey and disrespect him. He only wants what is right for you, even if it doesn't seem that way to you now.As long as you are a minor and live in his home there will always be rules.Once you're an adult and on your own there will be even more rules to follow.

  6. He isn't legally allowed to do that.

He's just trying to throw his weight around like most cops...

  7. He's probably not legally allowed to do that. However, I don't think anyone would say anything if he humanely taught you a lesson.

Just obey your curfew and don't disrespect him...both your lives would be easier.
