He should do fine, I did my 10500ft/35 second free-fall jump and it was crazy. If you know what you are doing, or going tandem it is quite safe, and I felt quite secure up there. As long as he is using a well prepared parachute it will be good. Or is he going without O.o

My dad was an airline pilot and flew on and off of carriers in the Navy.  When asked about skydiving, he thought it was sinful to use a lifesaving system for sport.

Skydiving is much safer than many people think. There's always a risk as in any high speed sport, but statistically fatalities are few and far between, especially on tandem jumps.
