My dad is taking my mom to court!?

My dad is taking my mom to court, over me. Am i legally obliged (or whatever) to go?

*P.s. i have already tried to get them not to go. It didnt work, no matter what i tried, weight loss, sleep loss, nothing.*

have a time when they are together and scream out your feelings, and im pretty sure you'll cry so just run into your room. im sure they'll come to your room and talk to you

whats the court thing over? custody of you?  If so then you should go ad explain to the judge how you feel about the situation and be honest.  if you don't want to go to court you can write the judge a letter.

Well all I can say is that I am sorry that you are going through all this. Weight loss and sleep loss??? Oh no it is not your fault that your parents are doing this. Please do not think that you are responsible. You are not obliged to go unless the court for some reason summoned you which does not happen very often. I will pray for you and I hope that everything works out for the best.

It depends where you live. The judge may want to ask you how you feel about it. But I would talk to both your parents before they take it to the courts. If you are ok with being homeschooled and are doing well with it, then you can tell your dad that and maybe write a letter to the judge.

Don't punish yourself over this.Tell your mum & dad that you want to have a meeting with them over this as you feel that your feelings should be heard,& that they should keep in mind that you are not wanting to be part of there arguments.You too have feelings

Hey.No I don't think you're obliged to go BUT it might be a good thing and would help you get what you want if you went. You could probably explain to the judge that you disagree with what your dad is saying and explain WHY you want to be homeschooled. He'll seriously take what you say into account,I was really little when my parents got divorced and they still asked me and my brother who we wanted to stay with...we ended up with our mom, which was our answer. This is just my opinion. And now I know what you meant earlier I'm sorry! :(
