My dad just ordered HD for Comcast. but it doesn't work. why?

Does he have a HD TV? Won't do much good without one.

Call the company at 1800COMCAST, make sure the converter is active and the Patch Cords are connected correctly

1. the tv must be cable of HD

2. the box must be an HD box

3. the connection to the tv must either be the component cable, the red blue and green cable, a dvi cable, the big  cable, or a hdmi cable,  the small ,usb style but larger, cable.

If you are missing one of the 3 you can not have HDTV.

You also need to make sure you are watching an HD channel. You can't just put on channel 2 and see it in HD. There is a separate range of HD channels.
