Dad has horrible table manners and the way he eats is disgusting. I want to tell him that he needs better manners but I dont want him to get mad at me.

Is there a way I can let him know that his table etiquette wont win him dates with women anytime soon?

  1. Just tell him that directly ,acting normally and of course as child who cares for your father. Observe eye contact and moderate voice. You are his son, he'll even thank you if you are able to say it as soon as possible.

  2. awww....your Dad may not even know that he has bad manners.  I have 3 sisters and one of them eats with her mouth open and you can hear her smacking her lips.   However, we never realized she did this.  Anyhow, one of the sisters told her -- gently -- and yes she was hurt -- but the next time we went out she ate with her mouth closed.

Gently tell your Father that you want the best for him and help him to learn good table manners.

let us know how it goes.

  3. Tell him you are working on a project that you would like his help with regarding etiquette and then ask him to practice w/ you so that you make a better appearance.

He might learn somethings and so will you so do some research on different things and walk him through while you two grow together doing this project together HOPEFULLY he will pick up on it and will want to fix his bad habits

  4. It's too late, your Mom never shamed him when they were dating so he never learned.

    Smack smack.

  5. Get mad at him, tell him to save the pull my finger jokes for later, not at dinnertime.(Disgusting!!!)

  6. Forget about it...he probably doesn't want any dates.  As long as you can stand eating with him without getting ill then it's none of your business.
