My dad pays more attention to the cat than my anyone?

My dad won't look anyone in the eye, and barley pays attention to my family and I. I swear he loves our cat more than us! what should i do?

Get him a pet, maybe a cat.  He is obviously uncomfortable making eye contact with people (for whatever reason) but feels an animal might like him unconditionally.
