  1. Gotta go with E.A here ask your Dad

  2. Judging by your spelling ... I would say the brain first. Hockey is a very physically and emotionally demanding sport. You can appreciate that your father played 15 years of pro hockey in the NHL. That is not easy. Who is he ?

Anyhoo, the 15 years in the NHL followed after playing many years in Major Junior, Bantam, Pee Wee etc. All of those years to develop disciplines in skating, shooting, puck handling and the sense of the game. Furthermore, the physical aspects of weight training, strengthening exercises are paramount to being physically tough enough to last each season.

The pro careers are shorter because the game has gotten very tough physically and a lot of players are getting hurt throughout the season. You must be disciplined to finish your schooling, diet and exercise and hockey practice if you ever want to even land on a junior hockey club or even college hockey in the US.

    Good luck.

  3. IF YOUR DAD WAS A PRO FOR 15 YEARS WHY DON'T YOU ASK HIM?

  4. Wow, thats pretty cool. Work on your legs (a lot). you need to move fast in order to play in the nhl. Also work on your upper body (for checking/hitting).

  5. legs and butt and abs..  Below your abs = hockey muscles...  above abs = beach muscles....

  6. Pushups, sit ups, and jogging. do those everyday alright. thats what i did, worked for me! ^_^

  7. Ballance, Agility & Indurance are the keys to this sport. If you perfect those the strength will come through skating and minor weight training!!!
