My dad receives disability checks in my name for which is posted on my w-2s and i need to claim that income?

for fafsa to get into college and need my income to be as low as possible so i can get a pell grant. how do i get my disability cancelled since i am no longer living with my father? i dont live with him and support myself but he still gets checks in my name which i have to claim on my w-2's. do i see a lawyer or what? what office do i go to ?

  1. Contact the social security office in your area and let them know you no longer live with dad.

    Also, a W2 is a form you get from an employer, not from the government for disability benefits.

    Second, until you are married, 24 years old, become an orphan or a veteran, you still have to list dads income and assets on your fafsa no matter where you live.
