Seriously honey, jobs aren't all they're cracked up to be! Don't get me wrong, it seems cool and you'll get lots and lots of extra money but the reality is you'll probably be working when your friends want to go out places and if your not you'll probably be catching up on sleep!

If your parents are happy for you not to get a job (unfortunately mine weren't!) then I suggest you carry on having fun! Get a job once you start sixth form ready to start funding yourself later on in life! =D

Why not wait till your 16. You have your whole life to work. But if you insist on getting a job now.... talk to your dad.

I got a part time job as a waiter at a local park house at 13. So you could go get a part time job or wait a while

d**n, I wish I had your dad. My parent's started telling me I had to get a job when I was 15, well almost 16, but still... Had a sort-of job at 16 for a couple months (tutoring little kids), got my first real job at 17.

Just enjoy being a kid. You have plenty of time to work when you're older.

First i must say it's very good the u have the idea of being resposible at this age it will really help u in your future so keep going with your opinion and try hard to convince your dad about it unless it doesn't affect your study

I think it's great that you want to be responsible but I say still be a teen while you can and enjoy it because soon you will be on your own and have to work for a living.
