I have a baby brother Parker, and he was born on May 28th as a pre-mature baby. And I asked my dad if he was considering having my little brother circumcised. I am worried. I know this sounds kinda dumb, but is it gonna hurt his little wee-wee? And what is the whole purpose of curcumcision?

  1. Many people give reasons for circumcising males, but they aren't true, it isn't cleaner, it doesn't prevent diseases, and there are no advantages to it except for the doctors who make money from it.

    These doctors are usually biased, for they themselves are circumcised, and frequently belong to the religions that try to impose this practice on others.

    Circumcision is male genital mutilation.    It damages the p***s and destroys at least half of sexual sensitivity.    There are many complications that can result from this barbaric and cruel practice, including catastrophic infection, gangrene, and partial to complete sexual dysfunction in adult life.      There are also psychological  implications frequently when the individual realized what has been done to him.

    A f******n is not a birth defect; it is a birthright.

  2. Of course it will hurt. It looks horrible after the operation. It's a really cruel things. You can look up pictures and videos online, if you can stomach them. I can't.

    There's no actual medical reason for circumcision. 80% of baby boys worldwide, and 50% of baby boys in the USA, are not circumcised. It was once thought it was "cleaner" and better, but it's not at all. Also, it takes away sexual sensation. The glans p***s needs the f******n to help keep it protected. It would be like removing a girl's clitoral hood.

    I gues you're probably too young to talk your father out of this, but you should try. It's not a nice or necessary thing for a baby. Also, if he's premature, it definitely shouldn't be done until he's stable.

  3. the initial rise in popularity as for it being routine was in the victorian era when masturbation was thought of as evil, it was intended to hurt sexually

    I wish my parents hadn't chosen it for me, when I found out about it I read everything I could, I know tons of information about and have read both pro and anti circumcision websites, I really wanted to believe it was good, but the truth just isn't there, you see and hear all these claims but if you ask for the actual study nobody has them or they are so old and used invalid techniques and would not even be considered for publishing, I wanted to believe it was good but if you look at both sides, circumcising without an immediate medical need makes no sense at all. I later did f******n restoration restoring what was left (they do leave some f******n) but it's not all restorable, but what I was able to get back was great. but this came at a price, I can no longer see circumcision as cosmetic or as if it does not really matter, things that I thought were normal I only realized were problems after I restored and no longer had them, sexual enjoyment is way up. I can't imagine how much better the real thing is.

    people have said in relation to sexual pleasure

    intact=10

    cut=3

    restored=7

    and from my experience I agree with the cut/restored numbers

    he only has one life to live, only one chance to feel the full sexual pleasure, if you circumcise him he will never be able to experience it

  4. As for decedents of Abraham of the old testament, like the Jewish people, I  respect their circumcision, and it is a heritage for them for an entirely different reason than what is being used by other people. Thiers is symbolic of an agreement made between them and God and it has nothing to do with cleanliness and disease. But is rather their heritage.

    For us others, a f******n is our birthright.

    It stated out in North America as an idea from Queen Victoria's reign where anti sexual pleasure and prudism was the order of the day.

    Circumcision was introduced as a means of making masturbation more difficult. Any excuse to discourage masturbation such as it causing diseases, blindness, heart attacks, strokes, dementia, diabetes, epilepsy and may sorts of fatal illness was used as an excuse.

    Before circumcision, some Victorian type mothers would put a safety pin through the f******n of her boy, just extended past the glans. If erection happened, it would go down just as fast because of the resulting pain.

    Circumcision took off big time because of the cultural atmosphere which was almost like the witch hunts at Salem where innocent women were put on dunking chairs and drowned as witches...just like medieval .."trial by ordeal"!

    The particular ...so called mushroom head look of the p***s became the norm and common look for the p***s, and Dads become Red Neck over their p***s and demand that their son look the same as he does, causing him traumatic pain and forcing upon him a less rewarding s*x life in the future.

    The logic excuses used to prevent masturbation by the Victorians has been transferred over to the circumcision reasoning, and many are the same like cleanliness, diseases, all kinds of health problems, down the line.

    This is how PERVERSE the whole thing has become or always was, and where it stems from, to where even doctors who are circumcised will support their condition and carry this huge umbrella!

    The US tries to carry this and push it into other countries like Africa, where now circumcised males expect that they are exempt from catching AIDS or passing it on, because they have been circumcised.

    Caring for a natural p***s is no real chore, and sliding the f******n back to wash like any other type of p***s takes just a blink of the eyes.

    The UK, where Queen Victorian attitude and circumcision stemmed from has long since given up this practice as Europe never did agree with her on the matter. The UK on the other never had a Red Neck mentality either...a different type of culture. Doctors in the UK and Europe will declare that the push for circumcision is a bunch of bunk and nonsense. The US has made it into a societal and a cultural practice or cultural conformity issue, and is in a constant info scramble to justify and support the hangover from a.. (best to be buried and forgotten) perverse historical whim.

    I hope that someone can reach your Dad!

  5. Yes it will hurt him and there's no REAL point to circumcision.

    Just (perceived) cultural conformity reasons and religious reasons.

  6. Simple!

    Show your dad this short video. He should chance his mind after seeing this.

  7. Dear Ravenchild,

    I have great advice for you. keep your nose out of your stepmom's and dad's business.

    No its not going to hurt his little wee wee.

    the purpose of circumcision is to protect him and his future partners from a lifetime of infections and diseases. Circumcised babies have the lowest rate of cancer of the p***s in the world  and their female partners the lowest rate of cervical cancer.

    What you heard through the grapevine is wrong.  Circumcision is more difficult for a teenager, or a grown man than it is for a baby boy. Which grapevine did you hear this from? Was it nocirc, noharmm, cirp, or icgi? Those are all anti-circ groups that distort medical facts.

    That video that you watched is over 30 years old and has been doctored to make it sound like the baby is dying.

    Here are two circumcision videos that are done with dignity:

    As for fearing for your brothers life, i wouldnt.  More babies die from Urinary tract infections than from circumcision.

  8. Tell him not to!

  9. He would hate you and your dad forever if you done that to him dont do that to him why would you have to do that to him leave it alone its like saying when you are 13 your dad is going to give you surgery and take out your boobies something like that but there was this 5 week baby died from circumcising

  10. Yes, it would certainly hurt your baby brother, and to be honest its a completely unnecessary procedure.

    Tell your dad you did some research, and ask him to read the answers you get to this question. Here's some points you and he will find useful:

    - According to a Gov't study, only HALF of baby boys are being circumcised in the US nowadays (compared to 80% a few decades ago) and worldwide only 20% are.

    http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/series/sr_1...

    - Circumcision is now seen as medically unnecessary. The AAP does not recommend routine circumcision anymore. They say "it is not essential to the child's current wellbeing."

    - The f******n is not just a useless flap of skin. It holds many protective, sensory and sexual functions, and since the invention of the shower, its real easy to keep clean.

    http://www.noharmm.org/mothering.htm

    - An baby's uncircumcised p***s requires NO special attention. You don't need to clean under the f******n after every diaper change! He'll discover his f******n whenever he's ready (which won't be retractable until the age of 5-10) and then its a case of simply educating him about his own personal hygiene.

    Hopefully your dad will leave your brother's p***s intact — 'if it aint broke dont fix it'!

  11. You know what's funny? This so-called retired physician (who is actually nothing more than a pro-circ advocate himself) has suggested that circumcision is in the best interest of the child because of health benefits. Yet every Pediatrics Association in the world says that not only is circumcision not necessary but that the alleged benefits (if any) do not outweight the risks. There are no tangible benefits from routine neonatal circumcision. ABSOLUTELY NONE. And that's why he failed to produce any. You know why there are no videos of the so-called painless circumcisions out there? Because there aren't any! Circumcision is painful for infants and anyone who tells you otherwise is just ignorant!

    This physician compares going to the dentist (which usually involves necessary dental checkups and having cavities filled to prevent tooth decay ) to circumcision (a procedure done where there is nothing wrong with the person to begin with, but they decide to cut something off). That's just ridiculous! He also tells you to trust your parents to make the best decision for their child. Normally I would agree with that, except that in this case, parents usually don't have all the facts. And doctors usually don't educate them on the potential risks and cons of circumcision. They just give them a piece of paper to sign (yes or no), then try to convince them that it won't hurt the baby much (which is always a lie). Circumcision violates the code of ethics. In other words circumcision without a medical indication for it is unethical. The fact that a so-called doctor can sit here and endorse and unecessary, painful and permenant procedure being done to an unconsenting infant is just shameful.

  12. Its best to do this while the kiddo is young.

  13. Why would you even ask your father about the decisions he and your step-mom are making in caring for your half-sibling? Surely you must trust your father to make decisions that affect the health of  his children when they are not old enough to do this for themselves. You have been given a lot of misleading information by several people here who have an agenda to keep males from ever being circumcised.

    Circumcision does have benefits for the male despite the information you have been given, much of which is slanted and incorrect .

    Your half-brother was not circumcised because he was pre-mature. Now that he is healthy he should not have bad effects from having a part of his f******n removed. Most doctors now do use anesthetic, despite the video and the incorrect information you have been subjected to. A Canadian doctor who is also a certified mohel has a very humane method of circumcision whicih is available for you to watch. This doctor is Dr. Neil Pollock located in Vancouver. I am sure that you wold be impressed if you watched the video which is available . The baby boy appears comfortable with the three step pain-relief method that is used , including EMLA cream prior to the injection of the p***s with Lidocaine.

    I cannot help feeling that you have been influenced to send this post by others who want an excuse to start another anti-circumcision rant. You would not tell your father to keep your little half brother away from the dentist because the needles hurt. Please trust your parents with these important decisions. Circumcision is still a valid preventive in reducing the spread of AIDs and STDs. Queen Victoria is not alive and well and sending unscrupulous doctors out to mutilate unwary males.

    I was circumcised as an adult and I am perfectly fine about it.
