My dad was adopted. How can I find out my heritage?

People always ask what my heritage is, and I never know. I just want to know out of plain curiosity. My dad said he's tried to figure it out, but he had trouble. So... if there a place where they can take my DNA and tell me what is is. For example something like 30% Irish, 40%Italian 10% Russian, 20% Chinese

You don't give any indication as to what country you and your dad live in. There are quite a few places here in the UK where you can get DNA testing done, if you could edit your question then I am sure you will get the help.

yes...DNA does tell you where your heritige came from! But it only does it on your mothers side. DNA can only trace back your mother's mother's mother's ect. it goes up by mothers. So it would only tell you what you are on your maternal side...

I have that same problem...a little...my dad never knew his father so i dont know his heritige and we know nothing...it stinks
