My dad was in the marines for 4 or 5 years served desert strom, how can I find out if I can get any tuition help?

  1. Was your father permanently disabled or did he lose his life during his years of service? If he did there are grants for sure. If not, I haven't heard of any special grants or tuition waivers for dependents of military other than through the different service organizations he might be a member of such as Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) etc. My son's father is 22 years active duty Air Force and we are paying tuition for our son.

    If your father is still alive, and able, have him call to find out. The marines will need specific information to answer your question. If he is no longer alive, or cannot make calls, make the call yourself. They will tell you what papers and information you will need for the answer. There may be a website for general information you could start with.
