Where can I get ones that are like the real thing? I have some for fashion, but I want to get him the most authentic ones possible. Can you go through the army if my dad is retired?

  1. You can order tags from a company called  Medals of America

  2. there are plenty of places, usually just off base, that make regulation dog tags, as long as you know all of the information on them ie. full name, ssn, blood type, religion.  try rangerjoe.com supertrooper.com or uspatriotstore.com

  3. umm on base, or maybe in some army thrift shops..they sell everything but i think the reason they are so sentimental is because it wasnt easy getting them and it they each bring back close memories. i think hed prefer the  originals..but u got some ideas to chose from

  4. If you live near a miiltary base, there's places nearby that can manufacture them.  Otherwise ranger joe's, and other places on the web can assist.

FWIW, I think wearing tags, that are worn by military members in the event of their demise (to ID the body to be blunt) make a poor choice for "fashion".

  5. In reality tags vary in the way they are and were produced. theBattleZone.com will try to duplicate your original tags faithfully.

    Were his tags:

  6. Go to this website.  I ordered a set for me, and my ex-Navy son.  They are very reliable.
