My dad was watching p**n while I was in the room next to him?

Question

I was in this room about half an hour ago while my dad was in the living room well aware that I was in here( I was playing music pretty quiet ). Next thing I know I here p**n going on and I leave the room and go to my room and go to my room because thats absolutely disgusting. As I walked by I called him Gross and Disgusting and he just laughed and said "What"? like he wasn't even doing anything wrong. btw he was drinking tonight(not much maybe 4 beers) but then again he drinks every night. What do I do about this because I don't want it happening ever again.

Tell him in the morning when he is fully concious abt what happened. Tell him u don't want this to happen again. Maybe he feels that what he did was wrong andso he doesn't repeat this again.

Since your father drinks there is probably no reasoning with him so just go to your room when he gets like that and do your very best to NOT grow up and be like him.  Sorry this is happening to you.

Bless your heart.  It's sad when the kids are more responsible and sensitive than their parents.  You may try to talk to him before the beer drinking starts.  If this does not work, try talking to another adult that will talk to him on your behalf.  Maybe, your mom or one of his family members.  Good luck and kudos on being a good kid.

The p**n is not the problem here.  Sure, it's tacky to be so blatant while you're in the next room, but isn't it obvious that the drinking is the big problem here?  I would suggest finding the nearest Al-Anon meeting and getting help dealing with the alcoholic in your family, as well as those who enable his behavior.

well maybe he wants to educate you regarding s*x.. that just a good way to cool yourself out... if you did not like it maybe tell him that you dont want him to watch p**n atleast when you are around and if he is just as much shameless tell him that you'll tell your mom about that nothing wrong deed of his...

I´m really sad to hear that. Where is your mother in all this? If you can, talk to her about it. Your father can watch whatever he wants, but not in front of you or near you! I´m glad you´re not curious in watching it, and I´m glad you are reacting this way. If you can, you should tell him too, to please respect you a little more.

But if nothing you do works, just try to ignore it and leave him to do whatever he wants, because most likely he won´t change. As long as you know what´s right and wrong, you´ll live through it.

god how sick!  my dad is the same way he has no shame either when me or my husband walk by he'll have his hands in his pants and hurry and take his hand out.  and we'll look at him and  make a weird look on our faces and he'll still do it with no shame.  its like cant u do that somewhere else ALONE!  lol  so i totally know where ur comming from.  my dad does it when im in the next room also hes a loser and a sicko.  next time im gonna tell him something and see what he says.  u should too.  say do u have to do that here.
