So are you on the board of directors?  I would hope that if you own 10% of the company, that you have some say in how the business is run.  

So, if you are in ownership of 10% of an oil company, you should be making killer dividends as it is, so why sell?  If the company is making you money as it is, then you have no reason to sell.

Also, if you own 10% of an oil company, you may want to spend your millions of dollars on a reputable accountant rather than ask the faceless random people on a random website...
