Ciana is 8. She is the belle of the ball in her classat school. I dunno why, honestly. Last night she informed me that she requires "the coolest COOL!!!!! sack lunch in the class for Friday. And DON'T EMBARASS ME, MOM!!" SO... exactly what, may i be so bold as to inquire, is a cool sack lunch? **seven children and THIS one has to throw me curve balls everyday....**

  1. Cookie cutters are a mom's best friend. Make a sandwich and cut out a shape (dont do teddy bears though, do stars and hearts and things like that, nothing babyish)

After that, I agree, ask her what she considers "cool" it could be as simple as a certain fruit roll up color.

    Good luck!

  2. Open the fridge and tell her to make her own, since you don't want to embarrass her.

  3. she does know what that means... take her to the store and have HER pick out her lunch bag... that way she can get the credit for having the coolest cool lunch bag... i dunno whats hip nowdays at her age.. maybe hanna montana...just ask if not tell her to accompany you to the store

  4. probably a whole bunch of junk food.

  5. Make sure she has healthy food, which I'm sure is your best interest, but make it fun to eat! Make her a sandwich with a cookie cutter and this is one of my favourite ideas: get two different coloured apples about the same size & cut them horizontally into round slices like you would cut a strawberry. Then you layer the apple slices colour by colour so you have a striped apple! I think she and her friends will think this is a "cool" lunch & it's also a healthy one! Good Luck!

  6. i am not sure but one thing tell her to stop trying to impress the other kids that's not going to help you in the long run if you start this know then yo0u will be required to provide the coolest shoes the coolest cloths etc... this can be the begging of a pricey problem

  7. usually junk foods

    chips

    koolaid jammers

    pudding

fruit roll ups/fruit by the foot

    choc milk

    favorite sandwich on favorite bread

    cheese and crackers ritz

    rice crispy treats

you can take her shopping for her cool sack lunch

    compromise with healthy foods too

  8. Only she know, but I wouldn't comply.

Your jobis to pack her a healthy lunch, not a cool lunch that doesn't embarrass her.  The sooner she finds out that she can't order you around, the better for her - and you.

    All the best.

  9. I have no idea.  Ask her?

  10. throw in a candy bar. a cool lunch at the age of 8 is any lunch that the other kids would trade for. Maybe even a lunchable. Those are good

  11. I think she could answer that question better than me.  lol   Just ask her what exactly she wants.  If she can't answer you, then give her the regular ol' thing.  She probably doesn't even know what a "cool lunch" is.  Nor do any of the other children.

  12. Honestly, I would pack her a usual lunch.  I am sorry, but making demands at 8 (and I have a ten year old daughter and eight year old son) would not fly in this house.  She should not be at school to impress anyone.  I spend a lot of tiem telling my children to be themselves, not someone artificial just to impress others.

That said, have Pizza Hut deliver her a personal pan pizza to the school.  But, be ready to give in to her next demand...I would hate to see what she will be like as a teenager and/or adult.

A better idea would be to make her start preparing her own lunches.

  13. A Lunch-Able. Thats what my kids always want. (its a pre made lunch)

  14. A cool sack lunch: chips, soda, hamburger, and fruit snacks. And she is way to  bossy.
