I want to do something special for her. Last year we did a small family get-together but now she is two, she is able to do more and I am stumped. Any ideas?

  1. Since its summer try having a big bar-b-q! And ask invitees to bring their favorite side dish that way all you have to worry about is the meats.

Also, find a place to rent a bounce house or ball pit. The other kids will love it!

  2. I was at a two yr olds birthday party and they rented a baby and toddler gym. Only kids up two 4yrs. were allowed because of the equipment.

  3. My nephew just turned two in May, and he had such a blast at his party!  For an early birthday present, they had gotten him a small jungle gym, so that was in their yard (they also had his baby jungle gym as well).  If you do not have one, you could consider having the party at a park, just make sure there is a big area with a roof over it in case of rain (they have a large gazebo with a roof).  Also, they rented one of those bouncy house thingys, and I don't think my nephew left that thing once all day!  My nine year old neice stayed inside with the younger kids most of the time, to make sure nobody hurt each other.  It was just a barbeque, and everybody had a good time.  Whatever you do, be sure to invite lots of familys with children (any ages), to make sure your daughter has someone to play with.  You can have a themed party, or just a simple one.  At two, I don't think they really care about decorations or any of that, they just want to have a good time!

  4. I would have a bbq if the weather permits.  You could set up a samll pool for the kids to play in.  Also you could set up tables for them to color, play with playdough, make party hats, or make fruit loop necklaces from fruit loops and string. These activites also work great inside.  You could have a bubble machine going for the kids to play with.  I would also have some beach balls and other small balls for them to play with.  Side walk chalk is also a big hit for kids.  I would have several small games for the kids to play like pin the tail on the donkey and bean bag toss.
