Our daughter has accumulated a large bunch of stuffed animals. She plays with them quite a bit, so I don't want to get rid of them. But they're everywhere! I'd like to find a way to display them in the room neatly. She needs to have easy access to them because she uses them so much. Thanks!

  1. When i was younger, one of my friend had TONS of stuffed animals. She had a net in the corner of her room. That was tacked to the wall. (one in the upper corner, one on the wall, and another one on the other wall that forms the corner) she put her animals up there. They were easy to get to (if she's short, just put a step stool by them) and looked cute. Plus there's plenty of storage under the net too.

  2. I had sooooo many stuffed animals when I was little.

My parents put up those nest that go on the corner of two walls. I had like 3 of them.

Just make sure you put it up where she can reach.

Also, tell her not to sit or lay in them. I tried to use one as a hammock and I sprained my wrist!

  3. My 6 yo's room has also been over run by the stuffed critters, lol.  We use colorful bins in different shapes to store them in.  It's easy for her to put them away, and she enjoyed decorating the bins with stickers and paint pens.  For her stuffies she loves but doesn't play with a lot, my husband put up a net (not the ones sold for stuff toys, they weren't big enough, one he found at the sporting goods store).

    Good luck!

  4. My children keep all their stuffed animals in one of those pop-up clothes hampers. I found some cute ones at Toys R Us with flowers all over them.

  5. downsize by donating small amount to good will if she has that many. My daughter has a net in corner of room on ceiling you can buy at walmart they are GREAT !!!!!!!! If i'm donating i wait until my daughter is no where around! I find a couple that she hardly ever plays with.

  6. Get one of those shoe storage things that hang from the closet or the back of the door. (something like this: http://www.target.com/Solution-PVC-10-Sh...

(The one I have actually holds 24 pairs of shoes) In the top slots, you can store her shoes or other things (bed sheets, sweaters), you can put the animals in the slots she can reach.  The larger ones you can put in a collapsable laundry hamper.  This way she has acess to them, they have a "home" and some of them are out of the way.

Here are some really cute storage ideas:

  7. My youngest has 5 of these:  http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/produc...

  8. space bags!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or some storage bens

  9. forget storing them- wash them & air dry.  put them in bags and donate them to the nearest ER & pediatric unit.  cut off all dangly tags & ribbons first.  in the future, don't buy so many.

  10. Teach your daughter the importance of giving and let her give some away, either to a shelter of to an elderly lady in a grocery store, I'm sure the lady would be very touch by your daughter's kindness.   As for the ones we keep, we just pile them on the bed.

  11. my step daughter had a zillion porcelain dolls, and I took them and lined them up around the room snugged up against the base board and they went all the way around the room, and she would sit and play with them and put them back. because of the convince of being able to sit where they are already sitting, instead of taking them down and carring them some where to play and then get busy doing something else and not putting them up

  12. I have always used those hammocks made just for stuffed animals.  They are supposed to go way up in the corner of the ceiling but you could hang them in the corner and lower down so she could still have access to them.  I would get a couple or a few (as many as you need) and hang them all up and voila! instant storage and cute.
