My daughter changed her lock

Question

my daughter changed her lock code on her nokia n95 but forgot what she changed it to i am the owner from new and have all proof of buying ie all bills etc so is there a way to get past the lock code before the phone starts up properly i tried connecting via usb but it doesnt find the phone so i cannot update it or do i need to send to shop to get reset thanks in advance
