  1. you could trade with the  mom for next week or leave a bit of money for the teacher to purchase snacks for the week or not worry about it...someone will take up the slack

but you are a thoughful parent for wanting to make good on your assignment

  2. Uh, NO.  You just won the cookie lottery.  Don't worry, they'll probably make you buy snacks at the new school.  The real question is why you don't love your daughter enough to send her to a private school where she can actually get an education?

  3. No, If your child is gone, one less mouth to feed, which means the other parents have still one child each to feed

  4. No. If you feel like you need to, ask the teacher if you can switch your snack week to next week. If that's not possible, don't worry about it!

  5. Ask the teacher if you could trade turns with another parent so you could do next week. That's what I would want you to if I was your daughter's teacher.

    >The real question is why you don't love your daughter enough to >send her to a private school where she can actually get an >education?

This is a horrible statement. Private schools don't have to meet state standards, so they could be much worse than public ones.  I have experience visiting and student teaching in all types of schools. The public ones have been the best by far. The private school teachers around here are also paid less, and seem to be less qualified. Plus, the public schools have much more diversity, which is very GOOD for a child to experience first hand.

  6. no

  7. That would be very considerate of you to do that, but not necessary, in my opinion.

  8. Ask the teacher. It's nice to bring the class a treat as a good bye .

  9. My son's class does this and it drives me crazy since we have only one day at it and the teacher lets us know the day before.

Talk to your daughter's teacher about this.  Our school is the only one in my area that even does this so I am assuming that it is not a very common thing.

Your daughter could make a special "leaving" treat if the teacher already has the snack schedule made out.

Since she is leaving some friends behind, this would be a great opportunity to include a special book where she can collect her classmates "autographs".

****As for not loving your daughter enough to send her to a private school so she can get a "real" education****

That poster is an idiot.  There are MANY public schools out there that are out performing private schools.

  10. Talk to your daughter's teacher. You may be able to trade with another parent (as suggested earlier) or you could just provide a special treat on her last day or during her last week. Don't just throw the schedule out of whack by disappearing. Your daughter's teacher and the other parents will really appreciate it if you make an effort to (at the VERY least) let someone know that your week will need to be covered now. That's the only fair thing for everyone.

  11. MAY??!! Are you kidding? What kind of teacher plans for five-year-olds- that far in advance?

I would hope that the teacher would allow for move outs/ins and be prepared accordingly.

I wouldn't worry about it. Put your energy into making the move into a positive experience for your child.

  12. No, don't be silly.  You have bigger things to worry about!  Unless you want to do something special as a goodbye party for your daughter, don't bother.

  13. If you really wanted to, you can ask one of the other parents to trade the times with you so that you would be able to bring in the snake before leaving the school, this way you would make your child happier and she wouldnt have to think about moving that much.

    good luck

  14. Just find time to come back in may. You eat, work, live, earn .... do everything for ur daughter only na. Ask her . Satisfy her . Thats it
