  1. are you sure it is eczema? sometimes doctors diagnose it as eczema, but with tests an allergist may figure something else out. if you have done that already i am sorry i don't have anything else.

  2. I think herbalgrace.com sells something herbal for it that I hear is wonderful, I am hoping to get some soon. If the rash is very bad then carry her to the doctor and the doctor check  her for an infection in the rash. It is possible to get MRSA and other infectioins from the scratching and once they get an infection it is hard to get rid of it. Once the infection is gone then it will clear up. Most doctors do not check for this so the kids continue breaking out and clearing up and it is a cycle that just repeats itself. Any time the rash gets that bad you should have it checked. Hope that helps. you can also switch to natural cleaners in your house(laudry soap, all purpose, etc), then take the chemicals out of your bathroom. Perfumes, soaps, etc.  If you change the soap to an all natural veggie base with no scents or dyes that would probably help as well. Remember when you buy from a store they only have to do certain things to label things as natural when in reality it still has harsh chemicals in it.

  3. I would highly suggest a dermatologist. We took our daughter when she was 11 months, she is now almost three and living completely free of outbreaks. Daily 5-10 minutes lukewarm baths, shampooing at the end and completely rinsing her whole body off after is the start. Use only cream based soap such as Dove sensitive body wash. Absolutely no bubble baths or swimming if outbreaks are present.  Moisturizing with Aquaphor or Eucerine cream after the bath, while her skin is still moist. We also moisturize in the morning and sometimes midday if needed.

We have not had to use any perscription or cortizone creams since we have started this.

  4. sometimes cutting dairy out of her diet might help.

    check with your doctor

  5. Try soaking in milk use powder milk and gallon of whole milk and use aveno oat meal soap.

  6. My nephew has severe eczema and they told my sister to get tar soap. He did have serious improvement on it, but then my sister stopped using so it came back. Here is the link for the soap if you would like to try it

  7. I have had eczema ever since I could remember.  There aren't too many natural ways to help when it's really bad.  When mine gets so bad it's red and cracked, I usually get a prescription from my doctor.  When it's not sooo bad, I use Cortizone 10.  The gel like prescriptions are better, I've found, than the cream based one.  Good luck with everything.  Hope she feels better!  Whatever you do, don't let her scratch.  I've got scars from when I was younger because I scratched so much.

  8. I too suffered from eczema when i was younger. Have you tried bathing her with oats? You just put some oats into a stocking and tie it off and use it instead of soap, the oats let out a milky looking substance when they are wet and the dry skin soaks it up. Hope i helped.
