  1. if she is eating formula then it should be 3-4 hrs but if it is breastmilk that sounds about right b/c breastmilk digests faster....

  2. With my two. I fed them when they were hungry. I went by a feeding schedule but if they wanted more than the recommended amount they got more. Every baby is diff.

  3. you see, the usual is this....4oz, every 4 hrs....

now your baby is on 3.5 oz, every 2 hrs!....

this is fantastic, it means that she has a healthy apetite!, now you could enquire, form you doc, whether or not, you could move her to a formula for 'hungrier babies'........

but dont do it unless the doc gives you the green light to do it....

but i have no doubt in my mind, that she is getting all that she wants, and i always found the best way to do it, is to feed on demand.....when they demanded it, i fed them!........

    she sounds very content :)

  4. that is enough...you can try 4 oz now if she is still hungry, and it may slow to every 3 or 4 hours

  5. Yea that should definitely be enough. Check with your doctor first but when my daughter did this they told me to try giving her a little water- maybe she is just thirsty? or try giving her a pacifier maybe she just wants to suck...?

  6. Hey, my doctor told me after I had done the same and only gave my daughter 3-4 oz per feeding to try putting 6-7 oz in a bottle. The baby will drink only till it is full and won't overfeed. I tried that and she was drinking it all at only 6 weeks. So I would try putting more in a bottle, she won't overfeed, just until she is full and then will stop sucking. Once I did this, she was sleeping longer and deeper.

  7. If she's hungry then feed her. If she's emptying a bottle at every feed she obviously wants more than you're giving her. Try giving her an extra oz for now and see how that goes. If you find she's still not satisfied you may want to try moving her onto a hungry baby formula which will satisfy her better.

  8. If she ate more at each feeding, she would go longer in between feedings. If she seems hungry after 3.5 ounces, give her more until she is satisfied. You might find she goes longer than 2 hours in between feedings after trying this. You don't want her to get into the habit of "snacking" (i.e., less milk more often).

  9. My son was eating 4oz by then every like 3 hours. I would move her up an oz if you think she is still hungry.  All babies are different. There is no right or wrong way. They all grow differently.  If she is hungry then give her more. Its okay. You will know when its too much..they wont suck or spit it out.
