She is about 5'11" and she wears size 18 plus. I cannot find any clothes that are trendy and long enough or wide enough for her. Everything that I can find is much too old looking for her and never long enough in the pant. I also cant find trendy shoes for her. She wears 11 1/2 wide. She is feeling depressed because school is about to start and she doesn't have any cute clothes. Tell me there are shops out there for girls like her. We have tried torrid. Everything there is a little too S****y.

  1. Lane Bryant has tall plus sizes.  They don't always carry them in the store, but they have them online.  Lane Bryant has cute clothes that are trendy and perfectly suitable for 15.  Just jeans, shirts, tanks, tees, dress etc.

  2. My Sister had the problem with clothes and i had that problem with shoes.

For clothes do it on line some of the stores we like were:

www.torrid.com**********favorite******... even if she does'nt like everything they have some nice hoodies and t-shirts and awesome jeans

    www.ae.com

    www.oldnavy.com

    www.lanebryant.com

    www.avenue.com

    www.aeropostale.com

    www.shoescom

    www.cutseyshoes.com(they sell shoes and clothes)

www.converse.com(their sizes are unisex so she might be like a 9 1/2 they will convert the sizes for you)

www.vans.com( there shoes run big and you really can't tell the difference between the boys and girls shoes)

A lot of stores sell plus size clothes online and not in there stores

I know what she is going through because me and my sister had the same problem, you telling her to lose weight will just make her feel worse than she already is. Encourage her to eat healthy and talk walks together. She is already going throgh this at school so don't add anymore pressure to me.

If you daugther needs someone one to talk to tell her to email me it might help to know that there have been 15 years olds that have run into the same problem

  3. Old Navy carries a lot of plus size clothing - and it's pretty fashionable..and inexpensive.

    Good luck!

  4. Yes Lane Bryant is great & theres also Torid. Thats where my sister got all her clothes from 15- on. she is 21 now:)

    Try a look around!

    best of luck

  5. im not trying to be mean or anything but i think itz time to loose weight wen u cant find nothin to wear to wear it means enough is enough.u can let her go on like thiz as far as cloths im not very sure

  6. Try big and tall stores or look online for stores for plus size women or tell her to go on a strict diet.

  7. I understand alot of the plus size clothes are too revealing but here are some sites that come to mind.

    www.wavefashion.com (maybe)

    www.romans.com

  8. hmmm i think american eagle actually has a size 18 and they run big and have extra long

this may sound stupid but mother  hood has some cute tops in bigger sizes for maturnity(sp?) cuz i bought my sister some nice tops from their when she was pregnant

i  looked at torrid.com and some things are really cute and not S****y

like this is deff cute and the pattern by the bobs haha takes the persons eyes looking at her to the upper not her belly

and all the people who are sayin ur a bad mommy for not being conserned with her weight dont listen to them im sure you are but you cant make that everything  and to me you are a good mother  like im a size 2 or 4 and my mom  is constantley on me about my weight that is like every thing to her so good job to you

  9. Honestly, Torrid is one of the most convenient options for plus-size juniors.  If you saw a couple of risque outfits in the store and gave up, you're missing out!  They have a lot of pieces perfectly suited for a 15 year old.  Check out some of these:

Other stores you might find good back to school outfits include:

    www.oldnavy.com (plus size section)

www.fashionbug.com (plus size & plus size junior section)

www.jcpenney.com (plus size & juniors plus section)

    www.lanebryant.com

    www.bandlu.com

    www.belleavenue.com

    www.igigi.com

    www.kiyonna.com

    www.fashionoverdose.com

    www.additionelle.com

    www.ashleystewart.com

    www.sizeappeal.com

    www.casual-plus.com

As far as jeans go, my 5'10 niece gets hers custom made from this place.  Since your daughter is a little taller and plus sized, these people can make her jeans to fit her specific measurements.:

    http://www.makeyourownjeans.com

Also at Torrid, they have a "Shop by Inseam" section for their jeans.  Measure your daughter's and select the ones for her size.  A 36" inseam like these should be long enough for her:

    http://www.torrid.com/torrid/store/produ...

These stores have fashionable shoe styles in large sizes:

    www.torrid.com

    www.payless.com

    www.designershoes.com

    www.avenue.com

Most of the shoe sites have a "Shop By Size" section.  Click 11/11.5 and they'll show you all the shoes in that size.

This is off-topic, but has your daughter considered becoming a plus-size model?  She's the right size and height...if she's pretty as well, that could be a great option for her.

    Good Luck :D

  10. i am big too, i wear a 13 (shhh! don't tell anyone lol) and i hate when people who that are over weight feel that they only have to shop at torrid. a lot of places have nice plus clothes but you just have to look. i went to aj wright today and they have so many plus clothes, my mother even bought a lot of outfits (she's a size 16) here are some stores that i shop at:

    macys

    target

    kohls

    tj maxx

    aj wright

    jcpenny

    marshalls

    walmart

    old navy

    rainbows

    dots

    fashion bug

  11. Do you have a Deb or Deb Plus? They have cute and trendy clothes for any size, and it's very affordable.

  12. Maybe try ordering stuff off the internet. Sounds like that you won't be able to find that stuff in a regular store.

  13. ok Cato's sounds perfect for her. it called Cato's: junior misses plus. Google it and see if u have one where u live.

    Ross is good to.

ps. the actual store has tees, jeans, jackets, shoes for teen girls the web site is just to give and idea of wut they have..

  14. www.fashionbug.com they also have stores.

  15. Torrid or Fashion Bug? :/

  16. I'm a size 11 1/2 in shoes too, and I also have the same problem with the whole cute shoes thing.

Converse has come some cute prints and nice new shoes this yr, and they run into higher sizes. A personal fave of mine because they make my feet look more narrow.

Also, if she's into Vans I know they have some shoes in her size. And they all don't look like the slip ons, too. :)

Payless goes up to a size 12 or 13 in shoes, and they have tons of stuff, from sandals to sneakers to flats.

    I hope I helped!

  17. im not saying that she is fat or anything right try and loose a little weight and try new look or a shop like that

  18. JC Penney and Kohls

  19. The solution is not to find clothes that will fit her, but to encourage her to exercise and lose weight.

You should be more concerned about her health than appearance and dress sense. At Size 18 her health is at risk.

I wish her all the best of luck.

  20. Maybe try getting her to lose some weight... its rather unhealthy for her to  be that height and that size. Maybe if you try torrid again but have her wear a black singlet under all the tops and legging under the skirts to make them less S****y. Good Luck and i hope she finds some nice thing!
