  1. She could just not be ready yet. 2 1/2 is still young so just give her a little more time. Maybe she is feeling a little pressured...try giving it a rest for a couple of days and then ask her if she wants to use the big girl potty.

  2. I've trained all four of my children and each time it varied to when they got the hang of it.  Keep encouraging her to go.

When you go, bring her in there too so she can sit on her bowl.  Seeing you let's them realize it's all a natural part of things.  I also found it helped when I took them at regular times.  For example when they first woke up, after meals and before bed. If she's having difficulty with urinating...running water helps most of us go - adults too.

Regardless of how long it takes stay encouraging and remain patient it'll happen.  Enjoy this time with her they all grow so fast and this time will pass faster than you realize.

    Happy training.

  3. I told my son it was absolutely disgusting when he "made" in his diaper....that was it!!!! POOF ...potty trained.

I asked this same question not long ago and this wonderful gentleman gave me the following answer...it really has worked hope it helps you as much as it did me

We had a very similar issue training our daughter. The best thing we found was "Once Upon A Potty" (they make a boys and a Girls addition). There is a book, a video, a CD, a little dolly and a small platic potty (for the dolly). I have included some of the links below. It has a great little song that gets stuck your head, but worked very well for us. We highly remommend it and have even given it a gifts to some of our friends. Here is the link for the book: http://www.amazon.com/Once-Upon-Potty-Gi...

And here is one for the set: http://www.amazon.com/Once-Upon-Potty-Gi...

  5. I wasn't able to potty train my daughter until she was 4.

Be patient. If she feels like she's disappointing you when she has an accident, even though you aren't saying or doing anything that would feel that way, it can take longer.  Children only want to please and it's very hard on some of them if they can't.

My boy was completely potty trained by 2 1/2 my girl just refused until she was ready and we had to wait until after her 4th birthday.

    Relax, she'll get it.

  6. I haven't read the other responses yet. I would say, just keep offering the potty, but not push it.  Try to sit her on the potty when you go, when you change her, etc.  Make a big deal out of it when she goes.  My son is 19 months and potty training, (he initiated it) and when he goes we sing and dance around and ALWAYS give high fives.  He loves it.  One thing you can do that we found that works is, go to walmart and buy the training underwear and matching training vinyl pants.  The underwear are thicker than normal ones and the vinyl pants keep pee from going everywhere.  My son doesn't have many accidents when he has these on because he doesn't want to feel the pee on him.  It's way better than pull ups.
