  1. you should start her in PRESCHOOL at 3, even for half days so she begins to get used to school.

then when she is four you should have her daycare or you should have her transfered into PRE-KINDERGARTEN.

that way she will start KINDERGARTEN when she is five and be on her way to a promising future =]

  2. Pre school  normally =3 years

Pre-K= Is normally = four/ or  mix of 3-5 year olds

Junior Kindergarten= is older fours/ 5 that miss the cut off date or not ready for kindergarten.

It depends in each school/day care center. Your daughter would be in an older toddler class.

  3. most pre-school start at 3 or 4

  4. uhhh i would say 3-4 years of age so its up 2 u

  5. where i went, there was preschool, stepping stone (pre-K), and kindergarten.  If your child is to start 1 grade at the normal age, six.  That means Kindergarten should be 5, pre- K 4, and preschool 3.  So I would start her when school starts unless her birthday is on the cut off

  6. anytime would be fine as long as she can communicate somehow...whether it be through words or simple actions.

I work at a preschool and we have kids as young as 1 and a half come in.

  7. Most pre-schools start taking children that are 3. If you enrolled her know she would be in a toddler "class". The pre-school that I work for has classes that are 3-5. The most average age being 4 and turning 5 for kindergarten. So, you can definently start shopping around now so that you can find one that you would think would be a good fit for her. And check to see if the public schools there have pre-schools because those might be free through Early Childhood Education(ECE) vs. the fees that you could pay at a private pre-school. Many elementary schools are putting pre-schools in them. Out where I live they just opened an entire school just for pre-school in the public system.

  8. Three is a good time to start getting her used to being around other children and away from home.  I would recommend a day care center, then when she is four, you can enroll her in a real preschool.
