Question:

My daughter is 20 and joining the Navy. She has some interest in "intelligence",police work..Any experiences?

She has taken the AS..whatever test...scored high...but I have another son in the military and I know the job discriptions can be misleading. I want her to have a good experience..

  1. Nothing that I can share on this forum, I'm afraid.


  2. If she's interested in working in military intelligence, then the IS (Intelligence Specialist)  rating or one of the CT (Cryptologic Technician) ratings would be worth looking into, if it's police work, then the MA (Master at Arms)  rating would be one to look into.  

  3. I say she should go for intelligence or counter-intel if she wants to have some fun and learn some cooooool stuff. I used to work with intel, and even on a low level, it's mind-boggling how many things are actually going on behind the scenes.

    And please, please, please ensure she goes in an as officer.
